Zodiac Zoo

Goal

Be the first keeper to finish all three rows or all three columns of your 3×3 enclosure with valid sets.

Players

2–4 keepers, friends or bots. Each keeper starts with 5 tokens.

The jungle path

Seven tiles sit on a shared path.

• The front tile is free.
• Skipping earlier occupied tiles costs 1 token each. Those tokens land on the tiles you skip.
• When you take a tile, you also collect any tokens already banked on it.

Then place that tile in your zoo.

Placing tiles

• Drop your drafted tile into any cell, empty or occupied.
• If you cover a tile, the old one goes to the bottom of the stack.

What counts as a set

A full row (or column) of three tiles is a set if it is one of these:

1. Same animals — three tiles showing the same creature (wilds allowed). Three matching honors also count, e.g. three East Winds.
2. Suit run — three consecutive values in the same suit, e.g. Bamboo 2–3–4 (wilds allowed).
3. All one suit — any three tiles of Circles, Bamboo, or Characters (wilds allowed).

Seasons and flowers are wild and can stand in for any tile in a set. Three wilds count as a set.

Winds and dragons are not wild. They only form sets as matching faces.

Scoring

• Completing a valid row scores +3.
• Completing a valid column scores +3.
• First keeper with all three rows or all three columns valid wins.
